The renovation of the house took 6 and a half years. The south-facing framework was renovated, as was the roof. The entire house was gutted, including the floors, and lowered to gain 20cm in height. After pouring a slab, a timber frame was installed with wood wool insulation.

Several windows were added. The lean-to on the ria side was completely dismantled, and the stones recovered were used to build all the outside walls.
